My Little Planner Pouch Addiction

I'm addicted to journals, day planners, "Sharpies" of all different colors and most of all having a fun little place to store them all and not get them all mixed up with the rest of my stuff in my purse. So now imagine that I got to test the Planner Addiction Pouch by Rabbit Rabbit Creations, its like Christmas morning for me!

This cute little pouch features inside pockets for phone or small tablet or divide them up and fit your favorite pens and pencils. Slide that day planner in the middle and you'll always have everything you need for scheduling meetings, appointments or playdates. Also think of this as being an activity pouch for kids when going on road trips, the restaurant or waiting rooms when kids tend to become a little restless.

If you like this pattern you need to join Planner Addiction Pouch and Fauxdori - sewing circle with Jasmin of Rabbit Rabbit Creations. You'll have access to great tips and tricks for sewing up this pouch, extra tutorials on how to change the dimensions of you bag, and most fun of all you get to share your creations!

Ok, time for me to go sew, I have some pouches to go make, haha!

Until next time, xx.

All Spice by Paisley Roots

A couple of weeks ago I posted JubeJube's back to school wardrobe here. I didn't get a chance to show everything in detail so this one is all about Paisley Roots' All Spice.

We're having some magical weather here, still quite warm for mid September. So here we go for a day in the park.

I used a light woven cotton from my stash for this one. I was going to make this dress with the front zipper option but then found these square  buttons that I purchased some time ago. The shape and color are just a perfect match for this little dress.

This dress pattern features pintucks at the front, square neckline and gathered skirt. There are also different sleeve options and an option to put in a zipper instead of buttons down the front. All insturctions are easy and clear to understand.

It was a flower picking, kite flying kinda day. Love how she can pull off a sweet classic dress with a pink Hello Kitty kite.

Until next time, xx.

Sew 'n Style with Lil Luxe Collection

I can't believe it, I made it through another fun sewing marathon! Once again invited by my friend Melissa over at Rebel & Malice to take part in the Sew'n Style Series featuring patterns designed by Jessica Bustos of Lil Luxe Collection.

I started off with trying to find fabrics within my desired color palette and then this project took on a life of its own. My color theme had surprisingly  changed but the results are beautiful! With Jessica's stylish patterns and my fabric finds I've created a chic  romantic look for my girls. I must admit that a lot of my fabrics were already in my stash and my favorite purchase would be the french terry I purchased to make the Peek-a-Boo Hoodie. I wish I had purchased enough to make one for me.

The color palatte I ended up with. Thank you Sherwin-Williams

The goal was to produce a cohesive look using mostly Lil Luxe patterns. Actually all the patterns I used are from the Lil Luxe Collection and these patterns are so fun to work with! So here we go from left to right:

  • Peek-a-Boo Hoodie
  • Slim Trousers in a denim floral print
  • Socialite Peplum
  • Haute Short
  • Lakeshore Crop Jacket
  • Modern Belle Dress in a pink taffeta
  • Rouche & Divide in a knit fabric
  • Slim Trousers in black corduroy

I just love the zipper detail at the bottom of the slim trousers. and the pocket of this hoodie!

I made theRouche & Divide top in a soft knit. Amelia put it on and said right away that it felt cozy. The details on this top are the rouched sleeve ad the inverted pleat at the back. So pretty, so sweet!

The cowl neck on this peplum top adds such a cute style to any outfit but pairing the top with the Haute Shorts is cuteness overlaod when put on Amelia.

This classic houndstooth jacket and pink taffeta dress is just perfect for JubeJube. This is her style, this is what she picked out as being her favorite.

After seeing all these pretty outfits you'll want to make you way to Lil Luxe Collection and enter the giveaway with over $350.00 in prizes. Also more in the series to be seen so take a look at the other participants in this adventure!

Don't forget to add your collection to the linky party (or vote) for your chance to win! See full contest details here.

Back to School Wardrobe Capsule

Back in  June I was decided and determined to make all of JubeJube's clothes for the new school year then I got an invite from Melissa of Rebel & Malice to join the Back to School Capsule Tour...How could I say no! I managed to make a total of 14 pieces, some of them are already JubeJube's favorites.

My favorite, hard to say. This was a wardrobe that was put together with my little first grader in mind and yes she did get to choose a lot of her fabrics and buttons so her style is starting to shine through.

This is the list of patterns I used to create my wardrobe:

From Terra's Treasures: Provincial top and Kensington trousers
From Blaverry: Star top

Rosalie Ruffle Tee by Peek-a-Boo *, Aster cardigan by Willow & Co., Star by Blaverry and Skirt No.1 by E+M Patterns

Aster Cardigan by Willow & Co. and All Spice by Paisley Roots

Peasent top by Handmaiden's Cottage *, Bobbi Boyfriend jeans by Blaverry (soon to be available) and Aster cardigan.

Rosalie Ruffle Tee by Peek-a-Boo* and Cruise pants by Blaverry (soon to be available).

So here goes...some different looks we got out of this wardrobe.

If you know me by now, you also know that I set myself extra challenges. My goal was to sew everything from fabrics I had in my stash. I can't believe all this mixing and matching all came from what I already had on hand.

The patterns too were from my stash, except for the two patterns from Terra's Treasures. Provincial top and Kensington trousers were great to work with and I'm sure I'm going to have to make more of these two patterns before the year is out. They were given to me for the prupose of using them on the tour, and the opions expressed about these two patterns are my own.
